Our scholarship program aims to increase access to quality EMDR trainings among all clinicians in Alaska regardless of practice setting, employer support, physical location/travel costs, and other factors. We recognize that the cost of advanced training can be prohibitive for multiple reasons and thus, welcome applications from any Alaska therapist who has completed an EMDRIA approved EMDR Basic Training. The AK EMDR Network, Inc scholarship committee will work to prioritize access to those who are working with communities/populations that are underserved and/or high impact settings.
How many scholarships are available?
Scholarship availability will vary for each training. Availability is based on multiple factors which include the number of tickets/seats for the event and the availability of funds. Please check our website for current availability.
What do scholarships cover?
Scholarships will cover a percentage of the total event cost. The specific scholarship amount will be different for each training/workshop. Award amounts will be clearly communicated on our website or each offering available. Recipients will also receive a detailed description of the costs covered and the remaining costs for which they are responsible at time of offer.
What is expected of me if I am offered a scholarship?
Each recipient will be notified by email. Individuals will need to confirm intent to attend the training and register/pay the remaining cost of admission within the time frames stipulated in their offer letter. Missing these deadlines will result in forfeiture of the scholarship offer. Applicants are strongly encouraged to check your email consistently to ensure this notification is not missed.
