Requirements
Must have completed an EMDRIA Approved Basic Training.
Hold an independent license and practice within the State of Alaska.
Actively use EMDR in their practice.
Benefits
This is a volunteer position.
Benefits of board service include direct involvement in planning Network events to include selection of trainings/trainers. Board members are granted discounted admission to Network events when possible as outlined in organizational bylaws.
Responsibilities
Be present for all board meetings and annual planning retreat. Additional meetings may be required to meet specific role and/or committee functions.
Attend all training events hosted by the AK EMDR Network. (Two in-person events per year plus one to two online workshops.)
Weekly time commitment is approximately two hours. This expectation is increased in the days/weeks surrounding Network events.
Board members are expected to stay up to date with current events and developments in the field of EMDR.
A minimum two year term is expected for all board members.
